Clover Honey Go Horse Go

Clover Honey have some elements of being a good band: sweet vocals and harmonies and, how should we say, a charming instrumental naivete (the drummer and guitarist frequently trade instruments). In short, they're not great players - which is fine, if the songwriting is either good or endearing enough to hold it together. But other than "Caroline" and "Alleyway," most of the tracks on Go Horse Go are half-baked, lacking the same charm that got Cub through its earlier days. They have something together, but it's not coming naturally yet. (Lance Rock)
