Published Nov 03, 2014Postcards are a little out of date in the era of email, but we still enjoy receiving a tangible greeting via old-fashioned snail mail. Keep in Touch is doing one better by launching a subscription series of monthly 7-inch audio postcards.
The newly launched label has announced many of the artists who will be taking place in this year-long campaign. They include Cloud Nothings, TOPS, the So So Glos, Sadie Dupuis (of Speedy Ortiz), Mutual Benefit, Aa Luna, Ricky Eats Acid, Into It. Over It. and more. The label also promises some "super secret surprises."
An announcement explains that these 7-inch-by-7-inch postcards feature a record pressed directly into a full colour image curated by that month's artist. They additionally come with a download code.
We're not sure whether the material will be entirely exclusive, nor are we entirely clear on what these playable postcards will look like. (Will they resemble picture discs? Flexi-discs? Something else entirely?) Whatever the case, we're intrigued.
There are 450 subscriptions available. Go here for more information.
