The Clientele Announce North American Tour, Play Toronto and Montreal with Field Music

BY Josiah HughesPublished Dec 24, 2009

Following their sixth long-player, Bonfires on the Heath, London quartet the Clientele have announced a string of North American tour dates to help us through that transition from winter to spring.

Kicking off in February, the band will join Vetiver for a run through the U.S. Then, they'll embark on their own for more dates down south, along with some March appearances in Toronto and Montreal. Sweetening the deal, Field Music will join the Clientele for the second half of their tour, including those Canadian dates.

And by the sounds of things, you may want to catch this round of dates as it may be the band's last. In a recent interview with Pitchfork, Clientele front-man seemed uncertain of the band's future, saying "If you don't have any more ideas you should just go away, I guess. But I don't want to announce that the Clientele is breaking up. It's always up in the air, you constantly have to rethink what you're doing and wonder whether it's courageous enough."

The Clientele released Bonfires on the Heath on October 6.
