Cobourg, ON's cleopatrick have announced a new EP, featuring their punishing, riff-driven latest single "OK."

DOOM EP is impending October 21 via the band's own Nowhere Special Recordings (distributed by Thirty Tigers). It follows cleopatrick's 2021 debut album BUMMER.

"DOOM is a collection of songs about digital complacency, fleeting privacy, love letters written out in 1's and 0's, divine MacBooks, leaked files, lost humanity, corrupt hard drives, lizard billionaires, killer asteroids, the proverbial "cloud," Maxwell's equations, 1997's IBM "DEEP BLUE ®" supercomputer, high energy particles, and the magic piece of glass that I keep in my right front pocket," guitarist/vocalist Luke Gruntz explained in a press release.

The JUNO nominated guitar-and-drums combo will celebrate the EP with an intimate release show with Chastity at Toronto's Velvet Underground on October 21. Tickets go on sale Friday (September 30) here.
