Classic Hip-Hop Album Covers Treated to Cat Makeovers
With rap fans and cat enthusiasts having fully funded Run the Jewels' feline-minded RTJ2 redo, Meow the Jewels, some may be wondering what other hip-hop treasures could be given a similar treatment. The good people at Slate have made things even easier to envision, having prepped up a few mock-ups clawing furry friends into a few classic hip-hop album covers.

Highlights include, as you'll see up above, an all-cat version of Kendrick Lamar's good kid, M.A.A.D. city redubbed, obviously, good kid, M.A.A.D. kitty, with the four felines clustered around a kitchen table. A Russian blue with a teardrop tattoo replaces Lil Wayne on the cover of its Tha Catter III, while 2Pac gets saluted with All Pawz on Me. Bringing it way back, even Eric B. & Rakim are brought into the pun-laden fun with Spayed in Full, which riffs on their Paid in Full.

Similar treatments were given to albums by Outkast, Ice Cube, Raekwon, Kanye West and Nas. You can see all the covers here on Slate and a few more of our favourites below.
