City of Glass

"Geographers"

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jul 7, 2014

Electro-minded Vancouver indie duo City of Glass released their debut full-length, The Modern Age, last fall, and now they're looking to follow it up with an EP called Monogyny. For now, they're previewing the collection with a new track called "Geographers."

The song is a little more urgently percussive than the band's past work, as its crooning pop vocals float atop a dynamic arrangement of atmospheric guitar echoes, twinkling synths and dense drum programming. There's also a lengthy, mellow breakdown partway through before the thumping finale. An announcement calls this tune "an introspective look at death and its impact on life."

Hear it below.

Monogyny is expected out later in 2014.
