City and Colour troubadour Dallas Green typically plays large theatre venues, but Toronto music fans could have a chance to see the songwriter in much more intimate surroundings. In a series of messages posted today (June 7) on his Twitter account, Green revealed that he will be playing a secret show tonight in "the smallest venue we have ever played."
Unfortunately, we don't yet know exactly where the show is going to be, but Green's tweets mean that we can nail it down pretty close. His latest message (as of press time) says "Trinity bellwoods." This refers to the Trinity-Bellwoods neighbourhood located on the west side of Toronto.
It doesn't mean Trinity Bellwoods Park, however, since he also confirmed that it will be at a 19-plus venue. He also added that it's exactly 3.3 km from Union Station, so this might be a good opportunity to pursue Google Maps.
Stay tuned to Green's Twitter account for more updates in the coming hours. This show will be to promote City and Colour's new album, Little Hell, which came out today via Dine Alone.
