Thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign, the Toronto-based Pop Sandbox team are ready to release LOUD on Planet X this week. The videogame brings together the worlds of indie gaming and indie rock, featuring special contributions from an array of Canadian artists. And in a special release week reveal, the creators have now unveiled the three secret international artists who were also involved with the project.

Chvrches, Little Dragon and HEALTH bring some international talent to the game, joining the ranks of previously announced Canuck collaborators like Tegan and Sara, Metric, Fucked Up, METZ, Purity Ring, Austra, Lights, July Talk, Shad, and Cadence Weapon.

The artists provide the characters in the game; players select who they want to perform as while completing tower defence and rhythm-based games — using amps, strobe lights, fog machines and bouncers as power-ups.

The game's original scores were composed by Jonah Falco and Mike Haliechuk of Fucked Up, Brendan Canning and Justin Peroff of Broken Social Scene, and producer Harrison.

LOUD on Planet X is out on April 19 for PlayStation 4 and Steam, and will follow on iOS and Android on April 21. Read Exclaim!'s recent interview with the game's creators here.
