BY Peter SanfilippoPublished Apr 10, 2014

Looking for something to do in the coming week? You can go enjoy the spring air with a stroll amongst the newly-resurrected trash from last fall that the thaw reveals, or you can avoid all of that and see a concert. Once again, we've roundup another list of shows for the coming week (April 10-16) for you to check out. Nothing here pique your interest? Make sure to stop by our Concert Listings for more shows in your area.

Black Sabbath

Metal godfathers Black Sabbath, comprising three quarters of the original lineup with Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, are playing some more Canadian shows as part of their extended North American tour in Hamilton, Ottawa and Winnipeg. After these shows, the band will be heading west and playing shows in several cities through the rest of the month, but there are no other Canadian dates after these, so make sure to catch the trio of legends live while you can.

04/11 Hamilton, ON – FirstOntario Centre
04/13 Kanata, ON – Canadian Tire Centre
04/16 Winnipeg, MB – MTS Centre

Chromeo

On a considerably less doomy note, Canadian electro-funk duo Chromeo will be playing a show at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom. The pair will be releasing their forthcoming record White Women on May 12, so for fans in the area who love the new single "Jealous (I Ain't With It)" and are hungry for more, this will no doubt be a great way to hear some new cuts.

Kim Churchill

Shaggy blonde songwriter Kim Churchill is continuing his tour for his brand new record Silence Win this week with stops in Edmonton, Victoria, Vancouver and a pair of shows in Calgary. Make sure to catch one of these shows, because they are the last Canadian dates set before he flies back home to Australia.

04/11 Edmonton, AB – Royal Museum Theater
04/12 Calgary, AB – Ironwood Stage and Grill
04/13 Calgary, AB – Festival Hall
04/15 Victoria, BC – Lucky Bar

FKA twigs

London singer FKA twigs is stopping by Toronto for the single Canadian date on her brief North American tour. Making her transatlantic trek for her acclaimed EP2, fans in the area won't want to miss this rare opportunity to see her perform live, and for only $20, it's nearly impossible to resist.

04/14 Toronto, ON - Wrongbar

Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks

Ex-Pavement frontman Stephen Malkmus will be bringing the Jicks to the west coast this week to play his new record, Wig Out at Jagbags. Fans will no doubt hear plenty of cuts off the new record, and may even be treated to some songs from Malkmus's previous works, including a song or two from his Pavement days.

04/10 Vancouver, BC – Rickshaw Theatre
04/11 Victoria, BC – Lucky Bar

Tycho

Electronic producer Scott Hansen (a.k.a. Tycho) will be playing a pair of shows in Toronto and Montreal this week. These two shows are the only Canadian dates on his Awake tour until August when he will be returning to play the Wanderlust Whistler Festival.
