With Chromatics returning with their Kill for Love on Valentine's Day, the much-missed outfit have shared the record's second single, a cover a Neil Young's classic "Hey Hey My My (Into the Black)."
Calling the redo simply "Into the Black," Chromatics strip this one bare, leaving little more than breathy vocals, some reverb-drenched guitars and ultra-light percussion. By the four-minute mark, some floating synth-fuelled arpeggios enter the mix, with all the elements adding up to one haunting and worthwhile cover tune.
