Belle and Sebastian are planning to release a new album this fall, and keyboardist Chris Geddes is tiding fans over by sharing a new solo composition amusingly titled "Tubular Beans."
The seven-minute instrumental cut is based around a repetitive keyboard motif, which is overlaid by subtly spaced out twinkles and synth textures. It's uneventful, but pleasantly so.
In a message on Belle and Sebastian's Twitter account, Geddes — whose nickname is Beans — explained, "I had a little jam on the synths after the rest of the group finished practising yesterday."
