Alex Soria, former front man for Montreal's vastly under appreciated Nils, takes us back to Minneapolis in the mid-’80s with this full-throttle collection of post-punk guitar rock that recalls Hang Time-era Soul Asylum, Flip Your Wig-era Hüsker Dü and Let It Be-era Replacements. But this EP's six tracks are more than a Soria nostalgia trip. He updates the sound with the years of angst and experience built up since disbanding the Nils. Simply stated, this disc rocks.
