Chilly Gonzales and Boys Noize Detail 'Octave Minds' Album, Share Chance the Rapper Collaboration

BY Josiah HughesPublished Sep 3, 2014

As previously reported, Canadian pianist and producer Chilly Gonzales will add electronic beatmaker Boys Noize to his ever-long list of collaborators, as the two have teamed up to form Octave Minds. After sharing some material in bits and pieces, the duo have announced plans for their debut album.

Simply titled Octave Minds, the album features 12 songs. These include the previously released "Symmetry Slice," "In Silence" and "Anthem."

There's one high-profile collaboration on the LP, and we don't even have to wait to hear it. On "Tap Dance," the duo teamed up with Chicago hip-hop experimenter Chance the Rapper and his band, the Social Experiment. The playful song, which eventually builds up to a pulsing climax, can be streamed below.

Octave Minds now has a September 15 release date. It will arrive via Boys Noize's Boysnoize Records.
