Chief State

"Crooked Pictures" (video)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Apr 9, 2018

Vancouver pop-punks Chief State will release their new EP Nothing More Than This next month, and they're teasing the upcoming record with a new clip for "Crooked Pictures."

"The song is an extended description of that feeling when you're with someone you know isn't good for you," the band tell Exclaim! "Someone that you really admire and so no matter how often you come to the realization they don't feel the same way, you can't help but allow yourself to sink further into the hole you're in."

The accompanying video was shot in Vancouver at a house that has made many a big-screen appearance — and it's easy to see why. Boasting intricate stained glass window panels, fancy columns and an elaborate mural, the house served as a luxurious backdrop for the video shoot.
