Philly hip-hop outfit Chiddy Bang haven't yet released their first official full-length, but lead MC Chidera "Chiddy" Anamege has secured his place in rap history by breaking the Guinness World Record for Longest Freestyle Rap and Longest Marathon Rapping.

Yesterday (April 28), Anamege performed a nine-hour, 18-minute and 22-second freestyle, eclipsing the previous mark of nine hours, 15 minutes and 15 seconds set by M-Eighty. He wrapped up the marathon rap at the MTV O Awards, and was presented with a plaque upon completion.

MTV aired freestyle live on its website. If you live in the U.S., you can see the official stream right here. For the rest of us, watch the finale of the record-breaking rap embedded below.

This ought to give Chiddy Bang an added publicity boost as they gear up to release their debut album, Breakfast, later this year. They will also be touring North America, with Canadian stops planned in Vancouver on May 24 and in Toronto on June 10. See the schedule here.
