The Chemical Brothers Use Google Earth Mash-Up For New Video

When the Chemical Brothers are busy not producing the new MGMT record, they are apparently messing with Google Earth, that fancy virtual globe program.

For the duo’s new "Midnight Madness” single, the UK beatmakers have pieced together a cool little video project where fan-submitted video clips were edited together using the Google watchdog. According to the Chemical Brothers, the "Midnight Madness/Google Earth experience” takes a tour around the globe, exploring what people get up to at midnight. Their viewing instructions? "Sit back and buckle up for a fly around the earth and let the Chems supply the soundtrack.”

The video’s track stems from the group’s latest career-spanning collection, Brotherhood, which hit earlier this month.

To check out just what people are getting up to at midnight you can check out the video in Google Earth via the Chemical Brothers’ website, or you can view it on the YouTube clip below.
