Chemical Brothers Unveil Hanna Score Details

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Mar 7, 2011

Back in the fall, it was announced that long-running electronic duo the Chemical Brothers would be providing the score to teen assassin flick Hanna. At the time, director Joe Wright discussed the decision to work with the duo, who are old pals of his, as a move away from the classical scores of his other films (Atonement, Pride & Prejudice). He noted that he "was very excited to do something with a lot of bass." With the film set to be released April 8, the press churn has begun, and with it comes a preview of the Chemical Brothers score.

According to a press release, the beatsmiths' soundtrack for the film is heading our way March 15, when it will be released on iTunes via Back Lot Music (Universal Studios' in-house soundtrack record label).

A chilly preview of "Container Park" can be heard below. The ominous dance track thuds along on a bed of icy synths and spooky sound effects. Considering the plot of the flick centres on a 14-year-old girl who was raised to be a cold-blooded killer, the tense and eerie vibe of the tune is most suitable.
