The Chemical Brothers Push Further with New Album

If you've noticed your block is a lot less rockin' than it used to be, it might be due to a lack of Chemical Brothers LPs in the last few years. Well, fret not: on June 8, the psychedelic beat-makers are set to return from the studio with their seventh studio album, Further.

The duo's first album since 2007's We Are the Night will come courtesy of Freestyle Dust/Astralwerks and feature a corresponding video for each of the album's songs, which you can pick up either at iTunes or with the special edition of the album. The videos were created by longtime Chemical Brothers collaborators Adam Smith and Marcus Lyall.

The album is inspired by the Chemical Brothers' Electronic Battle Weapon series and concerts. Or, as the press release puts it, "West Coast power pop harmonies sit beside German Motorik rhythms while Valentines-esque sonic manipulations plane across the top of early house basslines."

Further will be played in its entirety, video accompaniment and all, at the band's four-date stay at London, England's Roundhouse. The Chemical Brothers also have a number of British festival slots lined up, which you can see at the band's live page here.

Here's what you can likely expect from those videos:
