While Chelsea Wolfe has been riding the high of her latest album Hiss Spun, her momentum has just been derailed somewhat. The American songwriter has been forced to cancel her upcoming Australia/New Zealand tour due to sexual misconduct allegations against the trek's concert booker.

Sexual misconduct allegations have been levelled against concert promoter Dave Cutbush, the now former company director of Perth-based touring company Life Is Noise. Among the various allegations against Cutbush, he's accused of pressuring a minor to go on a date with him. As a result, he's since been fired from Life Is Noise.

Last week, stoner-rock legends Sleep cancelled their Australian tour booked via Cutbush and Life Is Noise, with fans at the time also urging Wolfe to do the same. Now Wolfe has officially called off her tour in Australia and New Zealand.

She issued the following statement regarding her decision:

It came to light that the promoter of our Australia and New Zealand tour Dave Cutbush has been accused of sexual misconduct. Under these circumstances we don't feel it would be right to continue working with him, so we are canceling our Aus/NZ March 2018 tour. I've dealt with my own share of bullshit from men in this industry and beyond so I know what it's like, and I'm glad that people are speaking out about their experiences in order to create a better atmosphere for all. I hope to reschedule this tour as soon as possible. Much love and many thanks for understanding.

As previously reported, Wolfe will soon be touring North American alongside Ministry. You can see all those upcoming dates here.
