Published Jul 08, 2015Chelsea Wolfe will take us down the Abyss this summer, and to tide us over until the album arrives in full, the shadowy songwriter has shared the cut "After the Fall."
The song sounds like a nightmarish modern update on classic '90s loud/quiet/loud dynamics. The slow, creepy verses feature muffled, distorted beats and spookily atmospheric synths, while the choruses explode with punishing fuzz. There's also a strange instrumental bridge with atonal arpeggiators.
Hear it below, and be sure to check out Wolfe's upcoming North American tour schedule here.
Abyss arrives August 7 via Sargent House.
