Check out Reviews of <i>The Messenger</i>, <i>Extraordinary Measures</i>, <i>Valentine's Day</i> in This Week's DVD Round-Up

It's time to take a look what DVDs have been released this week so you know which ones are worth checking out and which ones can be given a pass. So head on over to our Recently Reviewed motion section to check out our picks of the week.

In new DVD reviews, we have The Messenger, which stars Woody Harrelson as a member of the U.S. military casualty notification service as he works through notifying the families of fallen soldiers. Also, Extraordinary Measures is out on DVD this week. Starring Brendan Fraser and Harrison Ford, the film follows a man as he works to find a cure for his terminally sick daughter.

The star-studded romantic comedy, Valentine's Day, has been released on Blu-ray and director Steven Spielberg's giant apocalyptic thriller, War of the Worlds, has been revived on Blu-ray as well.

Sister Smile is a biopic about the singing nun, Jeanine Deckers, in her quest to spread the word of the church through music. Also, North Face, directed by Philipp Stölzl, is based on the true story of the race up the north face of the Eiger mountain in 1936 between German and Austrian teams.

And the late '80s have been put in the spotlight this week with two releases. First, we have the third season of thirtysomething being released on DVD, as well as a collector's edition of the '80s teen hits, The Karate Kid I & II.
