Published May 03, 2011Here we are on another new release Tuesday, and once again, we have a bunch of reviews up to help you separate the winners from the stinkers. Read on for a preview of some of the write-ups that you can find in the Exclaim! Recently Reviewed section.
Starting on a high note, we have the Beastie Boys and their latest Hot Sauce Committee Part 2. It's been four years since we've seen a new record from the trio, but they have come back with what could very well be another gem to add to the Beastie library. Keeping with positive reviews, we have the self-titled release from Cat's Eyes. For this side-project, Horrors frontman Faris Badwan has teamed up with opera singer Rachel Zeffira to release an album that shows off just how much talent this pair really has.
Next, Scandinavia's Tramp have released their new album, entitled Indigo. And then there's Volume 2: High and Inside by the Baseball Project, a baseball-loving band featuring Dream Syndicate's Steve Wynn and R.E.M.'s Peter Buck.
Collaborative project Pulseprogramming have brought together a collection of musicians, artists and even a poet to create their album Charade Is Gold. And want to know how a metal release could possibly be compared to "Engrish"? Well you're just going to have to read the write-up on Chrome Division's latest, 3rd Round Knockout, to find out.
