First, those in the "I Love Richard Linklater" camp will be excited by his new film, Me and Orson Welles, which engagingly tells the story of a young Orson Welles and stars a starry-eyed Zac Efron. On the Canadian front, director Reginald Harkema uses a chic, stylish '60s Euro-pop cinema style to tell the tale of Manson Family girl killer Leslie Van Houten in Leslie, My Name Is Evil, which has earned the Exclaim! Mark of Excellence this week.

If you are looking for great dialogue, solid acting and a fat fetish in a film, check out City Island, starring Julianna Margulies and Andy Garcia. For fans of the modern male noir canon, watch the Australian crime thriller The Square, an exercise in audience punishment that's well worth the pain. And the Brittany Murphy stars in the low-budget psychological thriller Abandoned, marking the late actress's final performance.

As far as television goes, we have reviews of three series this week: Gossip Girl: The Complete Third Season, One Tree Hill: The Complete Seventh Season and Dexter: Season Four , which comes loaded with plenty of extras.
