Chastity to Release Live Version of 'Home Made Satan'

Watch the new live video for "Cry High"

After wrapping up a momentous 2019 full of touring and recording, Chastity has shared plans to release a live edition of the project's second studio album Home Made Satan recorded off the floor at Whitby's Courthouse Theatre. The new live version arrives April 10 via Dine Alone/Captured Tracks.

Today, the Ontario project helmed by Brandon Williams shared one of the first new recordings from the Courthouse performance, a live rendition of "Cry High."

Here's what Williams had to say about performing the track alongside a string quartet in his hometown:

I was reading about opioids that our brains already come with, and the feeling of being high after we cry sometimes. I don't think I know how to pronounce this right, but when we cry I guess we release leucine-enkephalin, which helps reduce our pain. This song's about that. It's new, and this was my first time playing it live, with the help of my friends and a string quartet in Whitby in January.

Home Made Satan initially arrived back in September. Last year, Exclaim! named the record one of the most Underrated Albums of 2019.
