Toronto's own Charlotte Day Wilson has shared a pair of new tracks today, "Take Care of You" featuring Los Angeles singer Syd, and "Summertime."

"'Take Care of You' was one of those songs that came really naturally and quickly, the lyrics were impromptu and the music was simple," Wilson said of the song in a statement. "I just wanted to write the sort of lesbian love song that I would want to listen to."

She added: "Syd was the best possible addition, we both felt it was a song that needed to be heard."

The second single is the smooth, atmospheric "Summertime," which takes on a more solemn mood.

"I wrote 'Summertime' at my cottage alone in the woods," Wilson explained, "I was just reflecting on some unrequited emotions that always seem to come back in the summer."

Last fall, CDW released her one-off single "Mountains." Her latest album was 2018's Stone Woman.
