And while his collaborators may lend a sense of familiarity to the project, Chapell still manages to carve out a sound that's all his own.
"The Light" is a sprightly burst of pop-rock jangle, and the video follows an animated protagonist on a journey through intricately illustrated environments. From spooky forests to underwater aquariums to ancient caves, there's plenty of beautiful imagery to take in.
