Chance the Rapper Defends Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler's 'The House' from Merciless Film Critics

When it comes to comedies, film critics often seem more concerned with what a movie says about society rather than whether or not it's funny. As a result, laugh-filled romps like this year's The House wind up with unkind reviews on aggregators like Rotten Tomatoes. And Chance the Rapper, for one, has had enough of it.

This morning, the Chicago performer decided to bravely defend The House from its many snooty haters with a brief Twitter spree. At first, he didn't even name which movie he was upset about:
 

A little over an hour later, he decided to reveal precisely which movie he was talking about:

Ultimately, the whole thing had Chance rightly questioning the current state of film journalism:
 
 
 

Chance went on to say that he was half-joking with his rant, but don't get it twisted — "if you don't like The House, you are poop."
