Brooklyn synth-pop duo Chairlift haven't released an album since 2012's Something, as singer Caroline Polachek has busied herself with her Ramona Lisa side-project and Patrick Wimberly has built up his production resume. Now, Chairlift are back with a new single called "Ch-Ching."
The song is a glittering, extremely modern-sounding pop banger. Filled with rippling dance beats, synth horns and hip-hop-esque hooks, it's an exceptionally catchy number in which Polachek gives away her locker combination (27-99-23, if you were wondering).
The song premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show. Hear it below; the track is followed by an interview with Chairlift.
A video for "Ch-Ching" is coming this Friday (October 16). Expect details surrounding Chairlift's new album to emerge in due course.
