"Where Are You?" was our first taste of Chad VanGaalen's fifth LP Shrink Dust. Now it's been morphed into a new form courtesy of a Hooray for Earth remix.
The new take turns the originally downtrodden song into a danceable number, far more appropriate for the summer season that is (technically) right around the corner. The lyrics are still equally hopelessly yearning, but the music now takes away the bite rather than strengthening it. It is most likely the complete opposite of VanGaalen's upcoming noise project, but quite inline with the singer-songwriter's joking manner.
