Last summer, we revealed that California hardcore greats Ceremony had jumped ship from Bridge 9 to sign with the venerable indie imprint Matador Records. Now, the details of their debut album on that label have been announced.

The new release is called Zoo, and will be Ceremony's fourth studio album in total. The album was recorded with producer John Goodmanson, who has worked with everyone from Hot Hot Heat and Simple Plan to Sleater-Kinney and Unwound. According to a statement from the label, "The band have refined their jagged sound while continuing to pursue themes of exurban alienation and confinement."

Zoo will be released on March 6. On that day, Matador will also release the album's second single "Adult" on a limited seven-inch with non-album track "Start Over" on the flip. The first 300 copies pre-ordered of Zoo will be available on limited red vinyl, while the first 200 copies of the "Adult" seven-inch will be available on clear vinyl. We all know how much those hardcore kids love their limited colour runs!

For now, the album's debut single "Hysteria" can be heard here.
