CBC Radio 3 Announces Nominees for 2010 Bucky Awards
Each year, CBC Radio 3's Bucky Awards celebrate the best in Canadian music, typically focusing on the indie rock and folk that makes up most of the station's playlist. The winners are determined by the fans, and you can cast your vote now.

You can pick your favourites in ten different categories: Best Song, Most Canadian Song, Best Live Act, Best Reason to Learn French, Sexiest Artist, Best New Band Name, Best New Artist, Best Video, Best Lyric and Best Vocals. There is a long list of nominees in each category; among the artists that crop up in multiple categories are Diamond Rings, PS I Love You, Apollo Ghosts, Karkwa, Crystal Castles and Holy Fuck.

This marks the fifth year for the Bucky Awards. Among last year's big winners were Dan Mangan, Said the Whale and Sloan.

Go here to vote. There's no word as to when the voting will close, but in past years, the winners have been announced in December.
