Celebrated Boston outfit Cave In are preparing to release an album of new material this year via Hydra Head Records.
According to a new interview with German publication Visions [via ThePRP] the band had met to work on new material in 2017 and 2018, prior to the death of bassist/vocalist Caleb Scofield (pictured far left).
Frontman/guitarist Stephen Brodsky confirmed that a number of tracks from those sessions would be compiled for the release, though it is unclear if Scofield's contributions will be included.
As Lambgoat points out, the interview with Visions is currently unavailable online, though Cave In have shared the initial report in a Facebook post to confirm validity.
Cave In's most recent studio album was 2011's White Silence, though they did release a live album and a demos collection in 2018.
