CATL

'Soon This Will All Be Gone' (album stream)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Mar 20, 2012

Toronto blues outfit Catl. are set to release their third LP Soon This Will All Be Gone on April 13 via Weewerk, but you can listen to the whole thing now at Exclaim.ca.

The album's recording was split between the band's hometown and Detroit, and it features a number of guest musicians to fill out the trio's sound, including Texas bluesman Harmonica Shah, Danny Kroha (the Gories, Demolition Doll Rods) and Toronto's Pete Ross (the Speaking Tongues). Drummer Johnny LaRue is heard on the record, though he has recently been replaced in the group by Andrew Moszynski of the late, great Deadly Snakes.

Despite any recent personnel shake-ups, Soon This Will All Be Gone remains solid, filled with twangy riffs, gritty vocals and healthy dose of harmonica.

Though hitting stores on April 13, you can purchase a digital copy of the LP via Zunior as of April 3. Check out Catl.'s upcoming live dates below and give the new record a spin (or, you know, click play).
