A year ago this month, CATL announced that they were going on hiatus. But the break didn't last too long, since the band are back and have a new album coming out this spring. In the meantime, they have shared a video for the song "Gateway Blues."
The clip for this harmonica-honking garage-roots number shows guitarist Jamie Fleming and drummer Sarah K. performing with backup dancers and their band name lit up in lights. This is intercut with vintage 8mm footage taken from Fleming's childhood home movies.
The band will release their new video and single with a Toronto show at the Dakota Tavern on January 31. It's an early gig that ends by 9 p.m., and The Micronite Filters are also on the bill.
