While Cat Power is currently busy bringing awareness to the situation in Ferguson, MO, over on Twitter, the indie singer-songwriter will be putting the focus on her catalogue of music this fall on an upcoming tour.
The newly unveiled tour schedule was delivered through label home Matador Records today (August 21), confirming that the artist born Chan Marshall will be back on the road in support of 2012's Sun come September. This includes a previously announced date opening for the Pixies, as well as an additional stretch of solo dates. The headlining schedule includes stops in Vancouver and Toronto.
While Cat Power has often toured as a one-person act, the press release confirms that these dates will be performed with a full band backing her up. They will be the first Canadian Cat Power dates since her trip in 2012 around the release of Sun.
