The Cat Empire Map Out Canadian Leg on North American Spring Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jan 6, 2015

The Cat Empire didn't tour North America in 2014, and according to the fun-loving band's press materials, their fans began "posting online petitions, lobbying via Facebook and 'virtually' begging the band to return." In 2015, the group will answer the fans' requests by coming to our continent for a spring tour.

The outing will last for most of April. There are 15 shows in all, and more than half of them are in Canada. The Cat Empire will begin with back-to-back nights in Vancouver before making their way across the country as far as Quebec City. After that, they will play a few U.S. gigs.

Along the way, the band will be playing some fresh material, as they've apparently been recording in their hometown of Melbourne. The new songs will be released before too long, reportedly via "a unique subscription model which will give fans the chance to access the music first."

The Cat Empire also have some international dates mapped out for 2015. See their North American shows below, and the international itinerary at their website.
