Cass McCombs Announces North American Tour, Premieres New Track

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Oct 6, 2011

Cass McCombs already spent time on the road this year plugging his recent, medieval-minded Wit's End, but considering the eclectic indie artist is prepping yet another disc for release this November, the previously reported Humor Risk, it's time to hit the clubs again.

Shortly after Humor Risk drops on November 8 via Domino, the Baltimore, MD native will make his way out to the West Coast for a short string of dates. While the bulk of them take place in the U.S., he will make it up for on Canadian gig, at Vancouver's Electric Owl on December 6.

While we already got a taste of the upcoming album back in August via hazy new tune "The Same Thing," the musician has unveiled another track for his fans. The previously unannounced "Robin Egg Blue (Gun Drum Mix)," featuring production from Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij, tweaks up the record's original version with some extra piano musings and a tighter backbeat.
