'Carrie' Soundtrack Grabs Vampire Weekend, HAIM, Passion Pit

A remake of Stephen King's psychokinetic prom disaster story Carrie is set to hit theatres late this month, and the horror remake will come manned with a soundtrack featuring cuts from cool kids like Vampire Weekend, HAIM and more.

Due October 15 through Columbia, the soundtrack also collects tunes from Portugal. The Man, Rogue Wave, the Civil Wars, Passion Pit, Cults, and the Naked and Famous, among others. You'll find the details, which reveal that many of the songs have been previously released, down below.

As for how the tracks play out on screen, you'll have to wait until October 18 to see whether HAIM's "Let Me Go" scores an uncomfortable night at home with Carrie (here played by Chloe Moretz) and her bat-shit insane mom, if Krewella's "Live for the Night" plays during a pig's blood-soaked teenage massacre, or if Passion Pit's "Take a Walk" scores Carrie's exit from an on-fire gymnasium.
