Sleater-Kinney and Portlandia star Carrie Brownstein is currently on a book tour in support of her recently released memoir Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl, and at a recent stop in Los Angeles, the multi-talented musician, comedian and author showed off another one of her less frequently used job titles: a marriage officiant.

A couple of fans named Kendall Oshiro and Genevieve Hernandez took the Q&A portion of yesterday evening's event (November 3) to ask Brownstein if she would do them the honour of joining them in matrimony. Having been recently ordained, Brownstein obliged.

Even better, Amy Poehler was the host of the event that night and hopped behind the piano to serenade the couple on their special day.

Brownstein manages to pull off a heartfelt and hilarious impromptu speech, while Poehler chimes in with a few beginners' hymns on the keys. Watch an audience-shot video of the special moment below.
