The fifth album from these Swedish thrashers, once again there is a slight improvement in the quality from previous releases. Their modern thrash metal, modern in the sense that it is more aggressive than classic thrash, is good and this time out almost all the songs included are up to snuff. It is groovy, with some excellent riffs and a very heavy, fast rhythm section, while the vocals are aggressive and the overall sound of the band is solid. One downfall is its length, clocking in at only 35 minutes, but that might be a good thing, as there are no total duds. Carnal Forge supply some quality head banging and if they continue improving in the future, they will eventually release a real gem.
