On last year's fantastic E·MO·TION, Mission, BC pop great Carly Rae Jepsen proved that she's one hell of a collaborator, offering sleek hit after sleek hit with a wide variety of coworkers. It's looking as if she's got more magic in the pipeline, too, as she's reteamed with the always great Dev Hynes (a.k.a. Blood Orange).
While we don't have much to go on, Jepsen explained that she was spending the day writing new material with Hynes, who she described as her "hero."
Yesterday (June 2), she shared another update explaining that she was headed to a recording studio in New York. In other words, whether it's for another solo album or a different project, Carly Rae Jepsen is about to give us plenty more to get e•mo•tional about.
Listen to Carly Rae Jepsen and Dev Hynes' previous collaboration "All That" below.
Hynes, meanwhile, is set to release his next Blood Orange album, Freetown Sound, in the near future.
