Caribou Announces Tour, Unveils the Caribou Vibration Ensemble

BY Josiah HughesPublished May 12, 2009

Hard at work on his follow-up to 2007's acclaimed Andorra, psychedelic beatsmith Dan Snaith will finally be reviving his Caribou alias for a gaggle of tour dates this summer and fall, including a number of European shows.

As you'll see below, there's only one Canadian date but my gosh is it a doozy. On September 9, Snaith will be joined by a group of musicians known as the Caribou Vibration Ensemble. The group includes such notable musicians as Four Tet's Kieran Hebden, Koushik, John Schmersal, Kathryn Bint and Ahmed Gallab, along with a choir, a horn section and a quartet of drummers. In other words, don't sleep on it. If you do, however, the same line-up will perform in Monticello, NY, for All Tomorrow's Parties on September 13.
