Capitol K

Happy Happy

Leaving Planet Mu to release the third Capitol K album on his own Faith and Industry label, Kristian Craig Robinson has concurrently recorded his best and most innovative record to date. With a sound that mashes up so many different styles and sounds, it’s almost safe to say he’s a true original in what he does. An accomplished traveller who’s called Malta, Dubai, Brunei and the UK home, Robinson certainly educated himself in many musical traditions during his time abroad. Happy Happy mixes rock, electronic, folk, avant-garde, psychedelic and global groove into a big slab of leftfield pop music. While he aims to create something remarkably eccentric, it’s hard to deny an underlying coat of distinctive oddball melody. Robinson’s futuristic experiments reveal a world in which normal is unacceptable, making his music a wonder to experience.
