Published Jun 30, 2011Toronto-based electro-pop duo Candy Coated Killahz (aka Tasha Schumann and Icon the Anomali) have been catching a lot of buzz lately -- and for good reason.
Off the strength of the 2009 hit "Playboy" and the MuchMusic Video Award-nominated glitch pop single "Neon Black" released earlier this year, a recent press release confirms that the group's sophomore album, also called Neon Black, will drop July 5 on MapleMusic Recordings.
With a sound the group dub "ghettotronica," the album will feature guest collaborators Marc Costanzo of Len, Tino Zolfo and Swedish producer Marten Tromm. While a tracklist has yet to surface, the upcoming Neon Black LP release will kick off with a number of nationwide Canadian tour stops.
