Once again, Canadian Music Week will be bringing more than 1,000 acts to Toronto for a massive festival in 2014. The initial wave of artists has now been announced for the event, which has been moved from its usual time in March to run from May 6 to 10.
Some of the biggest names listed in the first rollout include M.I.A., City and Colour, Tegan and Sara, Television, Neko Case, Ellie Goulding, Walk Off the Earth, Flatbush Zombies, OFF!, Dodos, the King Khan and BBQ Show, Rich Kidd, No Age, Woods, Sleepy Suns, Indian Handcrafts, Maylee Todd, Half Moon Run, the Dirty Nil, Tasha the Amazon, Cheetah Chrome, Comeback Kid, Basecamp, Odesza, Cerebral Ballzy, the Organ Thieves, the Wilderness of Manitoba, Astral Swans, Dirty Radio, Bodhi Jones, Close Talker, Fine Times, Cowpuncher, Dear Rouge, Fake Shark Real Zombie, Mise en Scene, Oh No! Yoko, Papermaps, SonReal, the Fugitives, Thomas D'Arcy, and This Sound Will Save You.
This is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of CMW's huge lineup. A press release promises that more headliners will be announced in the coming weeks. An extended list of the currently confirmed performers can be seen here.
The schedule has yet to be confirmed, but a variety of tickets and writebands are available to purchase from CMW's website. In addition to live shows, the event includes a conference, awards show and more.
