Calpurnia Unveil Video for New Single "Cell"

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Mar 6, 2019

After playing dress-up in a Weezer video, Calpurnia have returned with a brand new song and video of their own.

"Cell" marks the band's first release since last year's Scout EP, though it hears them continuing to collaborate with Twin Peaks frontman Cadien Lake James and R. Andrew Humphreys.

"This song is about being taken advantage of in anyway," frontman Finn Wolfhard said in a statement. "It was amazing working with Cadien and Andrew again and I'm really excited for everyone to hear it!"

The video, meanwhile, was shot by Pooneh Ghana during the band's North American tour. It captures the band both onstage and goofing around — frolicking in the snow, bench-pressing nothing and just being cool teenagers.
