Published Apr 28, 2014We're still in the early days of spring, but Calgary concert promoters have fixed their eyes on Labour Day weekend, having just announced the lineup for this year's X-Fest. This time around, the annual event is bringing out the likes of Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, Tegan and Sara, and more.
The fourth instalment of X-Fest is set to take place August 30 and 31 at Cowtown's Fort Calgary, with the two-day event bringing out a number of Canadian and international artists. This also includes Death Cab for Cutie, Foster the People, Stars, Serena Ryder, MS MR, Cage the Elephant, Fitz & the Tantrums, July Talk, the Airborne Toxic Event, the Mowgli's, Dear Rouge and Sleeper Agent.
In previous years, the festival lineup has also included the winner of X92.9 FM's Xposure Fan Pick contest, though it has not been confirmed whether that is the case this time around. More acts are expected to be added to the X-Fest lineup in the coming weeks.
Tickets to the fest go on sale this Saturday (May 3) at 10 a.m. local time, with a general admission pass going for $179.50, plus service charges. A VIP pass costs $249.50, and offers access to private washrooms, bar and food services, as well as priority entry to an autograph tent and more.
