A.C. Newman Announces Fall North American Tour with Stops in Toronto, Vancouver

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jul 23, 2012

It's been a couple of years since the New Pornographers released an album, but before 2012 is out, frontman A.C. Newman will be striking out on his own with a solo album and a tour. While the details of his latest solo collection have yet to be confirmed, we now have the dates of his upcoming North American tour.

The outing will last for a little less than a month, in which time the New York-based songwriter will play shows across the U.S., plus two Canadian gigs: Toronto on October 21 and his former hometown of Vancouver on November 8.

Both of these Canadian gigs will be part of the Exclaim! 20th Anniversary Concert Series, which has been going on all year. Some other upcoming shows in the series include Hamilton, ON's Supercrawl and Doom Squad in Toronto. Learn more right here.

As for Newman's upcoming album, it's due out in the fall via Last Gang/Matador. It will be the follow-up to 2009's sophomore collection Get Guilty.

The title has yet to be revealed, but we can expect to learn more soon. Until then, go to Etix to participate in a ticket pre-sale that stars on Wednesday (July 25).
