Busta Rhymes

'The Return of the Dragon: The Abstract Went on Vacation' (mixtape)

Considering it'd be hard to huck several million bottles of Muscle Milk into our chimneys this Christmas season, New York rap vet Busta Rhymes has opted to gift us a new mixtape instead. Along with a bunch of his best pals, he's just dropped off a freelease titled The Return of the Dragon: The Abstract Went on Vacation.

As the title to the tape suggests, the follow up to 2013's The Abstract & the Dragon doesn't find Bus a Bus working overtime with A Tribe Called Quest's Q-Tip (a.k.a. The Abstract). A skit between the two MCs kicks off the tape, with Q-Tip explaining that he's got some things to do, so Busta should just make it a "Dragon joint."

Busta doesn't do things completely on his own, though. The recently teased "God's Plan," for instance, finds him partnering up with J-Doe and noted coco lover O.T. Genasis.

The rest of the all-star tape includes appearances from MF DOOM, Chance the Rapper, Mary J. Blige, Rick Ross, BJ the Chicago Kid, Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka Flame, Raekwon, Wiz Khalifa, Fabolous, Jadakiss and many more. Production, meanwhile, was offered up by the likes of Pharrell Williams, Jahlil Beats, the late J. Dilla and Black Milk.

Best of all, Busta has brought together Dinco D and Charlie Brown to reunite as the Leaders of the New School for the tape's "We Home." Truly, this is a Christmas miracle for anyone that's longed to re-ride the international zone coaster.
