The Burning Hell Reveal New Release Plans, Premiere "Fuck the Government, I Love You" Video

Mathias Kom was recently treated to a tribute record courtesy of artists like Dan Mangan, Great Lake Swimmers and John K. Samson, but rather than reflecting on the past, Kom and the Burning Hell are ready to move forward with new material.

The group will release a new LP titled Public Library in 2016, but before that arrives, Kom and bandmate Ariel Sharratt will be issuing an EP titled Don't Believe the Hyperreal. It's due out November 27 via Headless Owl Records.

In anticipation of the releases, they've shared a new track called "Fuck the Government, I Love You," which will appear on both releases, and Exclaim! has got your first look at its brand new video.

In both iterations, the track is a particularly timely number as the October 19 federal election draws nearer. It's not all hard-hitting political messages, though; the song is described by its creators as "an autobiographical tale of love and awkward dancing" and crams in tons of allusions to hip-hop, drinking wine and finding romance.

You can see Kom and Sharratt's upcoming European tour dates with Susie Asado listed below. Beyond that, check out the video premiere of "Fuck the Government, I Love You," and keep scrolling to give the EP version of the tune a spin.
